National Parks in Sri Lanka
Angammedilla National Park (අංගමැඩිල්ල)
This was declared as a National Park in 06th June 2006.
The Area of the Park is 7,529.10 hectares.
Angammedilla National Park situated in Polonnaruwa district in North Central Province.
From Colombo via Habarana- Polonnaruwa, Kahalagala can be reached to the Park entrance.
Bundala National Park (බූන්දල)
The National Park declared as sanctuary on 05th December 1969 and was upgraded to a National park on 28th July 2004.
The area of the National Park is 3,698.01 hectares.
Bundala National Park lies on the Hambantota District of the Southern Province.
Access - Along the cost via Galle, Matara, Tangalla to Hambantota (Approximately 256km)
Flood Plains National Park (ජල ගැලුම් නිම්න)
The Area was declared as a National Park on 07th August 1984.
The area of the Park is 17,350 hactares.
The Natinoal Park situated in Polonnaruwa district in North Central Province.
From Colombo – via Kurunagala –Habarana and found close proximity to Polonnaruwa.
Gal oya National Park (ගල් ඔය)
The National Park was established on 12th February 1954.
The area of Galoya National Park is 25,900 hactares.
The Park lies on Monaragala and Ampara District.
Access – Colombo- Ampara via Kandy Mahiyangana to Inginiyagala.
Galwaysland National park (ගැල්වේස්ලෑන්ඩ්)
Galwaysland was declared as a sanctuary on 27th of May 1938 and as a National Park on the 18th of May 2006 under the fauna and flora protection ordinance.
The park is situated in the District of Nuwara Eliya in the Central Province.
The total area of the Park is 29.24 hectares.
Access - The main entrance to the Park is situated at Nuwara Eliya, on Udupussellawa road.
Hikkaduwa National Park (හික්කඩුව)
In 18th May 1979 was declared as a Marine Sanctuary and upgraded as a National Park in 08th October 2002.
Hikkaduwa National Park covers about 101.6 hectares.
The National Park lies on Galle District in the Southern Province.
The park office is situated at Hikkaduwa on Colombo- Galle road. (Approximately 100km from Colombo)
Horagolla National park (හොරගොල්ල)
Horagolla was declared as a sanctuary on 05th of October 1973 as a National Park on the 28th of July 2004.
Horagolla National Park covers about 13.36 hectares.
This park is situated approximately near the Nittambuwa town in the Gampaha District & Western Province.
Access – Colombo–Kandy road – Via Nittambuwa
Horton Plains National Park (හෝර්ටන් තැන්න)
In 05th December1969 Horton Plains was declared as Nature Reserves and upgraded as a National Park in 16th March 1988.
Horton Plains National Park is extended over 3,159 hectares.
Park lies on Nuwara Eliya District in the end of the central mountains.
Access - From Nuwara Eliya, via Ambewela and Pattipola (32km)
Kaudulla National park (කවුඩුල්ල)
Kaudulla was declared as a National Park on 1st April 2002.
The total extent of Park is 6,900 hectares
The National Park is situated in the Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province.
Access - Colombo – Trinkomalle road via Habarana, Hatharaskotuwa
Kumana National Park (කුමන)
Kumana was declared as a Nature reserve on 26th December 1969 and upgraded to a National Park on 05th September 2006.
Kumana National Park covers about 35,664.74 hectares.
This National Park lies on the Ampara District in the Eastern Province.
From Colombo – Monaragala – Pothuwil – via Panama can reached to the Kumana National Park.
Lahugala National Park (ලාහුගල)
Lahugala declared as a Sanctuary on 01st July 1966 and upgraded to National Park on 20th July 2006.
The area of the Park is 5,131 hectares.
This National Park situated in Ampara District in Eastern Province.
From Colombo - Pothuwil – Siyabalanduwa can reached Lahugala National Park.
Lungamvehera National Park (ලුණුගම්වෙහෙර)
Lunugamvehera was declared as a National Park on the 08th of December 1995.
The total extent of Park is 23,498.8 hectares.
The National Park lies on Southern Province and Uwa Province.
Access - Via Rathnapura, Udawalawe, Thanamalwila to Lunugamvehera (approximately 231km from Colombo)
Maduruoya National Park (මාදුරු ඔය)
The Maduru oya declared as a National Park in 09th November 1983.
The area of park is 58,849.60 hectares.
This park is located in the Ampara and Badulla Districts in Eastern and North Central Provinces.
Access - Colombo via Kurunagala, Dambulla, Habarana, Polonnaruwa, and Manampitiya (Approximately 265km from Colombo)
Minneriya National Park (මින්නේරිය)
Minneriya was declared as a sanctuary on 1938 and as a National Park on the 12th of August 1997 under the fauna and flora protection ordinance opened for visitors in May 1998.
The total area of this Park is 8,889.411 hectares.
Access - The main entrance to the Park is situated at Ambagaswewa, 182 km from Colombo on the Colombo Polonnaruwa road via Habarana.
Pigeon Island National Park (පරෙවි දූපත)
The Pigeon Island declared as a National Park in 04th June 2003.
The area of park is 471.43 hectares.
This Marine National Park situated in the Trincomalee District in the Indian Ocean bounded on the sea.
Access – Colombo Via Habarana, Trincomalee to Nilaweli road (approximately 290 km)
Somawathiya National Park (සෝමාවතිය)
Somawathiya was declared as a Nature Reserve on 09th August 1966 and upgraded to National Park on 02nd September 1986.
The area of the Park is 37,645.50 hectares.
The park is situated in North Central and Eastern Province.
From Colombo – Polonnaruwa –via Sungawila can reached to the Somawatiya National Park.
Udawalawa National Park (උඩවලව)
Udawalawa declared as a National Park in 30th June 1972.
The Area of the National Park is 30,821 hectares.
The Park lies in the Rathnapura District in Sabaragamuwa Province and Monaragala District in Uva Province.
Access - Colombo - Rathnapura - Pelmadulla to the park entrance
Wasgamuwa National Park (වස්ගමුව)
Wasgamuwa was declared as a Strict Nature Reserve on 29th February 1938 and additional areas added to become Wasgamuwa National Park on 07th August 1984.
The area of park is 37,062.9 hectares.
Park spans Matale and Polonnaruwa District in Central and North Central Provinces
From Colombo – Kandy – Hasalaka- Wilgamuwa up to Wasgamuwa From Polonnaruwa – Matale- Laggala- Wilgamuwa up to Wasgamuwa
Wilpattu National Park (විල්පත්තුව)
Wilpattu was declared as a National Park on 25th February 1938 and this park is the largest National Park in Sri Lanka.
The area of Wilpattu National Park is 131,667.1hactares.
The Park lies on the Anuradhapura, Mannar and Puttalam Districts.
Access - Colombo via Negombo and Aunradhapura road Via Negambo to park office
Yala National Park (යාල)
In 1909 Yala was declared as Sanctuary and upgraded as a National Park in 25th February 1938.
Yala National Park belongs about 97,880.7 hectares.
Yala National Park is one of the oldest National Park in Sri Lanka and it is extended over Uva & Southern Provinces. It lays on Monaragala & Hambantota districts.
Access – Colombo – Kathragama via Tissamaharamaya to Palatupana

කොළ බඩු
සාමන්යයෙන් අපි යම් භාණ්ඩයක්, නිර්මානයක්, ඉදිකිරීමක් අගය කරන්නෙ එහි ක්රියාකාරිත්වය, සෞන්දර්ය, පිරිවැය වැනි සාධක පදන්ම් කරගෙනය. නමුත් Green Products (කොළ බඩු කිවුවෙ මේවට) නැත්නම් පරිසර හිතකාමී නිෂ්පාදන පිළිබඳ සැලකීමේදී සෞඛ්යට හා පරිසරයට වන බලපෑමට මුල් තැනක් හිමි වේ. යම් භාණ්ඩයක් එම කාර්යයම කරගැනීම සඳහා භාවිතා වන වෙනත් භාණ්ඩයකට වඩා සෞඛ්ය හා පරිසර බලපෑම අඩු නම් එය Green Product එකක් ලෙස සැලකේ.
අද ලෝකයේ පුද්ගලයන් Green Product සඳහා දක්වන උනන්දුව වැඩි වෙමින් පවතී. පරිසර හිතකාමී ඉදිකිරීම් (particularly the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED® rating system) සඳහා දක්වන උනන්දුව වැඩිවීමත් මෙයට එක් හේතුවක් වී තිබේ. මොනවද මේ Green Product කියන්නෙ. මොන වගේ ලක්ෂණද දකින්න තියෙන්නෙ. බහුතරයක් Green Product වල පහත සඳහන් ලක්ෂණ ඇතුලත්ව ඇත.
